Media Hosts

PostDaddy will always post media content uploaded via the Content Manager to one of the following destinations.

Reddit.com

Whenever possible, PostDaddy will opt to upload your content directly to Reddit.com for the best possible user experience.

RedGIFs.com

RedGIFs is one of the leading adult content platforms for short-form adult videos and images.

To upload to RedGIFs, you must create an account on RedGIFs.com and then link the account directly to PostDaddy.

Caution

Videos uploaded to RedGIFs are limited to one minute. If you upload a video longer than one minute, it will be truncated to the first minute.

You can delete content uploaded to RedGIFs directly from PostDaddy or on RedGIFs.com.

imgvau.lt

imgvau.lt is PostDaddy’s own media hosting platform. It’s similar to sites like imgur, but it’s exclusively for PostDaddy users.

You don’t need to create a separate account to upload content to imgvau.lt.

All content you upload to imgvau.lt can be deleted directly from PostDaddy.

How PostDaddy Determines the Host

Based on the classification of your content and the rules for a subreddit, PostDaddy will automatically determine the destination for your content.

Images and GIFs

If a subreddit can host images and GIFs, PostDaddy will always upload media directly to Reddit.com.

If a subreddit does not support image uploads but does support link posts, PostDaddy uses the classification of the image to determine its upload location:

• If an image is classified as Not Sensitive (SFW) or Non-Adult NSFW, PostDaddy will upload it to imgvau.lt
• If an image is classified as Adult NSFW, PostDaddy will upload it to the RedGIFs account associated with the Reddit account you’re using to post

Videos

Videos are handled differently due to Reddit’s rules for uploading videos directly to subreddits.

• All NSFW videos, regardless if they are adult or not, cannot be uploaded to Reddit.com since it’s against the current policy
• If a subreddit is private, videos cannot be uploaded directly to Reddit.com
• If a subreddit is classified as NSFW, all video, even non-sensitive video, cannot be directly uploaded to Reddit.com

If a subreddit supports video uploads and the video content is Not Sensitive (SFW), videos are uploaded directly to Reddit.com.

If a subreddit does not support video uploads, if a subreddit is private, if a subreddit is NSFW, or if the content is classified as NSFW:

• Videos classified as Non-Adult NSFW will be uploaded to imgvau.lt, PostDaddy’s own media hosting platform
• Videos classified as Adult NSFW will be uploaded to RedGIFs using the RedGIFs account associated with the Reddit account you’re using to post
